On June 4, 2026, the Vietnam Food Administration (Ministry of Health) issued two consecutive official dispatches to warn and handle dietary supplements and food products that do not ensure safety and are currently being recalled in Australia. The timely dissemination of information and the implementation of emergency handling measures aim to maximize the protection of domestic consumers’ health against risks from imported products.

Urgent Recall Warning for Two Dietary Supplement Products under the Nature’s Own Brand

According to Official Dispatch No. 999/ATTP-SP sent to the Departments of Health, Food Safety Departments, and Food Safety and Hygiene Sub-departments of provinces and centrally run cities, the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) of Australia issued an urgent recall for two dietary supplement products under the Nature’s Own brand. The cause was identified as a potential risk of glass fragments inside the product bottles. The TGA emphasized that the glass fragments (if present) are not inside the capsules or tablets but may appear within the product container.

The affected products specifically include:

  • Nature’s Own Glucosamine Sulfate with Chondroitin (320 capsules), batch number 1662937, with an expiration date of April 2028.
  • Nature’s Own Magnesium Glycinate 1150mg (300 capsules), batch number 1665576, with an expiration date of April 2028.

These two products are distributed by Sanofi Consumer Healthcare (a subsidiary of Sanofi Group) and have been widely sold in Australia since May 7, 2026. Upon checking the registration data for product declaration receipts, the Vietnam Food Administration confirmed that it has not granted any product declaration registration receipt for the aforementioned health protection food products in Vietnam.

Implementation Measures for Handling Nature’s Own Brand Products

To proactively control and prevent risks to public health, the Vietnam Food Administration requests local authorities to urgently implement the following actions:

  • Review all registrations of product declarations and self-declarations for the aforementioned product codes.
  • Work directly with the companies that declared these products (if any), requesting them to notify distribution units and consumers to suspend usage, proceed with recalls according to the manufacturer’s recommendation, report data (imported quantity, sold quantity, remaining stock), and propose handling measures for the product batches according to the recall information.
  • Widely disseminate information to consumers so they are aware and refrain from purchasing or using any of the aforementioned product batches.
  • Synthesize and report the handling results to the Vietnam Food Administration before June 18, 2026.

Accordingly, several batches of Allen’s iNSiDE OUTS 130g candy products are being recalled in Australia due to the detection of foreign matter.
