The Center is responsible for organizing the implementation and management of continuing education activities to enhance professional and management capacities for medical staff nationwide.

Furthermore, the Center will strengthen cooperation with domestic and foreign organizations and individuals. The unit participates in implementing the standardization of continuing education facilities and teaching staff. The aim is to implement quality accreditation for continuing medical education.

Direction and Guidance from the Ministry of Health

Speaking at the Launch Ceremony, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Viet Tien, Deputy Minister of Health, congratulated and welcomed the Association for proactively developing the Project. The establishment of the Center helps coordinate closely with the Ministry of Health to gather leading experts. The main task is to conduct continuing education, update medical knowledge, and improve the quality of medical staff. This aims to meet the needs of caring for, protecting, and improving people’s health in the new situation.

The Deputy Minister also requested specialized associations, medical associations, and the Departments of Health of provinces and cities to review the number of medical staff who have been granted practicing certificates. Units need to develop annual plans and continuing education needs. On that basis, units will coordinate with the Center to effectively implement the continuing education task.
