
On July 18, 2018, the President of the Vietnam Medical Association signed Decision No. 226/QD-THYHVN regarding the establishment of the Center for Support, Continuing Education under the Vietnam Medical Association. The decision was issued based on current legal regulations and the Resolution of the Standing Committee and Executive Committee of the Vietnam Medical Association, aiming to meet the requirements for standardization and quality improvement of continuing medical education nationwide.
According to the Decision, the Center for Support, Continuing Education functions to support and coordinate with member associations, training institutions, and medical units in developing plans, content, and programs, as well as organizing the implementation and management of continuing education activities for medical staff. The Center also serves as a focal point for domestic and international cooperation in training, fostering, and standardizing lecturers, contributing to the implementation of accreditation activities, and ensuring the quality of continuing medical education.
The Center operates under a mechanism of financial and organizational autonomy, possesses its own seal and account, and is subject to the direct management of the Vietnam Medical Association. The establishment of the Center for Support, Continuing Education marks an important step in the Association’s development strategy, aiming to enhance the professional capacity of medical staff and contribute to the development of modern Vietnamese medicine and international integration.
